Thanks
My mom's situation is similar. A month or more ago, her employer, a hospital, put out a statement that every worker, nurse, and doctor had to get vaxxed by November 1st. Immediately dozens of employees quit or retired, mostly on-floor workers, like janitors, cleaners, kitchen staff, etc. But some nurses left, but I'm not sure about the doctors.
Anyway, my mom put in for a religious exemption. She has yet to receive a reply on it. But it seems that the hospital is either dropping the vax mandate, or holding off for now because they are so understaffed, they want to retain as many workers as possible since it's harder to hire than it is to fire.
All of these hospitals are short staffed because employees are either leaving or being fired over Vax mandates. People shouldn't quit. Make them fire you.
She will not quit or be fired. She is way past retirement age, so if she HAD to leave she would just retire and still receive all the benefits and money they owe her. She's too old to fight something in court, and I don't expect her to, that would be something I should do since I'm younger and have more energy.
But for now it seems they won't force her to leave anyway. They're desperate for staff. They're even paying extra if you work more hours, which they've always done, but it's even more now. Makes sense since they got all those millions of dollars from each "covid" death.
But if people have "fuck you" money to quit then quitting makes a very important statement that we will not put up with this bullshit. Lots of people close to retirement age are sitting on fuck you money.
