One thing I have noticed locally is that even though customers can go maskless, most staff still seem to be forced to mask up, even in red states. Of course like all of 2019-present that makes no sense scientifically. Rather, it seems like behavioral conditioning on us such that:
We get used to the idea of an underclass that wears masks.
We seek to rise above that underclass.
It trains the underclass to accept and even support it (in the hopes of rising some day, or to become part of some "favored underclass").
But my question on this, is why masking? Is it just a social class signifier or is there more to it?
So I was looking into the future a few months by browsing the Australia COVID rules. (https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/freedoms-for-fully-vaccinated-people)
