I have two really great female dogs I need to get fixed, but the rabies shot is mandatory by state law. I haven't gotten a dog vaxxed in years. When I stopped getting their shots it was because I didn't want to pay for them and they weren't around other dogs. But now I think it was beneficial to them because all of our dogs die of really old age and they are healthy until they die. I can't opt out of the rabies shots. Any ideas? I was even thinking of finding a state were vax aren't required for dogs and get them fixed there.

I also stopped vaccinating my animals about 20 years ago for the same reason and have had the same experience as you. Missouri does not require the rabies shot in the event you live close.
Might be time for a trip to Missouri🙂🐶
