Speaking of puppers I’m thinking on breeding my 2 Kangals. These pups can only go to patriots. I’ll not let them into the wrong hands. I’ve got a pick of the litter female and pick of the litter male that will make elite babies. I’ve clocked my girl running 35 next to my 4-wheeler; and both she and our pit bull are afraid of the male that is 9 months old. I’ll start a thread soon on here to see who might be interested. The male is a Czech import, the female from import parents. I’ve found them to be the best dogs I’ve ever had, and I’ve had labs, shepherds, pits etc. “Impressive” is the word i would use to describe them.
Meh... a mod deleted my post about the future pups. Said I should put it over on the animal section with the 28 ppl who look at that. Sucks because in my heart I want patriots from GAW to have them, yet can’t share it here with you guys. Didn’t even mention a cost... it’s not like I’m advertising a common dog breed. These things are tough to get here in the US. These are capable working dogs that can help you through the current and future upheavals from a descending NWO. They can catch squirrels and rabbits, maybe assist with hogs or deer.
In a grid down SHTF scenario, I'd want something a little smaller and more agile. This is why I'm a Malinois type of guy. Kangals are cool dogs though. Wish they lived longer.
I'd never heard of the Kangal before, so I did some quick research. Apparently they live ~15 years. Pretty amazing for a big dog. They also sound like great family dogs. Also according to my recent research (about five minutes ago), the reason they are rare in the US is that Turkey is trying to preserve the breed's purity, and won't export many of them.
Wow, 15 years. That's very long for a big dog. I just assumed that they were done around 10 years old like other big breeds.
One of the better canine breeds to come out of Turkey...Truly a "heavyweight" in many categories...
