"She gave me from the wood, and I ate"
Some understand this to mean she took a branch off the tree and beat him up until he ate. This is not typical, notice Eve's punishment after "your husband will rule over you", meaning that was not the case prior. There was a fundamental change before and after.
This is so true. Woman was originally the help-mate to man. Now it's more like a power struggle unless this truth is understood in the biblical context.
It’s not written in the text that way and no one interprets it that way.
“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”
Genesis 3:6 KJV
It is written that way, and some do interpret it that way. You should learn Hebrew and read the original. Relying on translations, even the best translations, is going to give you a skewed view of things. It's also useful to review some of the hundreds of commentaries on the Bible, because you'll find interesting interpretations that you never knew before.
