Friends are railing on me how dangerous COVID is. I just cite that the numbers are inflated from co-morbidities and elder abuse but they won't quit. Any anon know an efficient way to refute it?

Average age of death is above the life expectancy. Only ~1% of cases get hospitalized, and a high ratio of hospitalizations end up dying. When the hospitalization to death ratio is like that it means the problem lies with the patient and the treatment, not the disease itself. 700k is 0.2% of the US population
