Probably the part where they got rich beating the army messenger back to the stock market telling everyone the battle was lost causing a market dip and allowing them to buy everything on pennies on the dollar only to have the army messenger arrive to announce the battle had been won.

They literally started their fortune and empire with a conspiracy
