Too late for the warning. It is all over the place. Casinos have been using the tech for years. I am pretty sure all DMV offices are now using facial recognition software to issue driver's licenses and state issued IDs. Apple phones take pictures every couple of seconds without the user knowing - this type of recognition software will be tied into a covid contact tracing system that ranks people using a health scoring system. Pfizer patent for Methods and systems of prioritizing treatments, vaccination, testing and/or activities while protecting the privacy of individuals
Government agencies like unemployment and welfare are requiring ID.me to receive benefits and they use facial recognition software. I had to sign up for ID.me but claimed I didn't have a smart phone and my computer has such a crappy webcam the software wouldn't work. They had a live person call me to verify my identity and just take a regular pic. I think it was a small win. They didn't get my photo using facial recognition. But, I am afraid that the facial recognition cat is out of the bag already and short of dismantling the system, it is not going to stop encroaching in our lives.
I still try to fight back any way I can because I refuse to just roll over. I have gotten to where if I go out, I do not bring a smart phone with me. Why the hell do I need it? Frankly, I am about ready to chuck it. I keep it off most of the time anyway. I only had gotten it because I didn't have internet access at work. I take with a regular old flip tracfone that is turned off and kept in a faraday bag. I only would need to use it for an emergency. What the hell did everyone do before cells? We actually did just fine and had a lot less stress in our lives not being constantly connected all the time. Our tech is literally going to be the death of us all. If we were to get rid of our phones tomorrow, their whole plan of take down would be stopped in its tracks. They need the phones to implement their plan of control. Without them, they are dead in the water. It really is that simple but yet too hard to even contemplate for most.
