Love your spirit! Hopefully a lot of shoe boxes get filled.
But is Hobby Lobby really based? The store is packed full of CCP made products. Things any good manufacturing person will be able to tell you can be competitively manufactured here. It just seems a based, Christian organization would invest in developing based, Christian suppliers instead of filling their stores with CCP made items.
Now I need to put my money where my mouth is and find some small businesses that sell American made things to fill a shoe box.
I suppose you are right about CCP made products. I just remember that they've come under attack from the left in the past. I certainly advocate for buying only American Made products. But I hope this doesn't deter people from the point of the title... to bring a smile to a child and share Jesus. Christmas is coming!
I don’t want it to deter from people doing good works either. I let one of my personal passions of avoiding CCP goods get the best of me. It can be time consuming and beyond frustrating to find things made here.
For the sake of these kids at Christmas people should buy what they can, where they can.
Yes, the CCP has a lot of people in a horrible grip. I spread the money around and don't begrudge the occasional Chinese factory slave a bowl of rice. The aim of charity helps more than the recipient. More charities that aren't a giant industry, please.

Great idea. We do this every year; my kids love filling them to the brim with useful things for someone less fortunate.
