Hey again,
So Trudeau is enforcing mandatory vax for any traveler leaving a Canadian airport as of Nov 30, we're booked on a flight to Mesa, AZ for Nov 28th. Me, my wife, and 5 month daughter.
We're selling all our possessions here and starting again there. We have some family to crash with, our plan is to get an RV and slowly wind to Florida during early 2022.
We run a streaming/media business (weddings/corporate/performing arts) and will document our escape and restart.
Would love any help in Mesa to get us started; things like leads on buying ...
A decent used RV ~20,000
DSLR equipment/lenses
Electric bicycles
Any leads on clients for our business
Tips on digital nomad/refugee lifestyle with an infant
GW has been an incredible home during this time and I'll be updating as we go, would love to meet up with an Mesa Patriots with big hearts.
Putting our faith in God and the USA
I know people who have done this for an appointment with their baby. They drove across, no one asked for any vaxx Info. Also, you’re allowed to visit family here and as a Canadian, you can stay here for up to 6 months as a visitor.
It should be more than acceptable to have your baby looked at by any one of the 5 top 10 hospitals in the world here in the US and also visit your family while you’re here just in case your baby needs to go for the potential follow up appointment.
Did they need to arrange any visa with the embassy or just have a proof of appointment?
No, as a Canadian, you don’t need any kind of visa. They will call it a visitors visa but nothing additional needed other than your passports. By law, you can visit for 6 months per trip, per year.
You’d just need an appointment scheduled with the hospital or specialist.
Thanks for this tip Patriot very grateful
Btw, the vaxx proof only applies to flights, so driving would be your best bet. I’m not sure how many you have in your family, but if it is just you and your wife taking your baby to a specialist, I don’t see any issue.
No problem Fren. Happy to have you and good luck with your travels.
My wife and son are Canadian so this is how we know so much about the border process.
