Yes, I've read enough about "the troubles" and other civil wars to know you're probably right. I too have enjoyed the comforts of living in the West in the 20th and early 21st centuries. But those comforts can be a gentle trap that binds us more to those comforts than to liberty.

But I think we are in a unique time in the history of the West. Today the competing agendas (us, who merely want to be left alone vs. them, who want to control our entire lives) are not a roughly 50-50 split in terms of people. For far too long the Kommisars (maybe 20% of the population) have managed to rule over the "aloners" (80% of the population).

The Great Awakening is about that 80%, or a goodly portion thereof, becoming aware of the grifters and kommisars, and the corruption and waste that they represent. We see this awakening in the headlines... parents overrun school boards... people in open defiance of stupid "mandates"... sheriffs refusing to enforce unconstitutional regulations, and more.

The awakening has not quite reached critical mass just yet, but it will. Critical mass will be reached when the elite, unelected rulers make one overreach that goes too far and and all the pent-up potential energy of the Great Awakening suddenly erupts into a Great Reckoning.

I don't know what that event or decision or ruling will be that sets it all off, but it will most assuredly be something that [THEY] did not see coming. The French aristocracy never saw it coming either.

More recently, Nicolae Ceaușescu and his lovely bride Godzilla never saw it coming as well. From giving a balcony speech to a firing squad post in a mere 36 hours was one of the more stunning and eye-opening events of the 20th Century, and it serves as a lesson for us all. How quickly pent-up anger can turn on the would-be masters.

Some random "Archduke Ferdinand" event, seemingly banal in the litany of abuses by the DS, will trigger an "ENOUGH!" reaction and like a lit match dropped into a pot of gasoline, the Great Reckoning will be underway. Uncontrollable until every last kommisar is consumed.

Our unique moment in history also suggests that the military and police (at least in the US... I'm guessing you are from the UK perhaps?) will likely be on the side of the 80%.

If the book "The Fourth Turning" told me anything, it is that this Crisis period (~2005 to 2025) is not over by a long shot and that the cycle of history and the human psyche are still waiting for that one, unpredictable lit match moment when all the little Ceaușescu's suddenly see the anger in the eyes of those who only wanted to be left alone.

We won't be able to vote ourselves out of this mess. Our elections are now meaningless. The 2020 election showed to us all just how meaningless [THEY] have made our election process. It was just another sacred institution that had to be corrupted, and more proof of that corruption comes out daily. And We The People know it.

So our voices are censored, our votes have been taken away, and every day the Kommisars impose yet a new outrage on us with impunity.

How long do you think that impunity will last? I'll say it again.... the French aristocracy (and Nicolae Ceaușescu) never saw it coming either.

You're right that war is always a horrible, brutal affair. But the global cabal is counting on you being fat, happy, and comfortable. Because the more difficult your life becomes, the less comfort and sense of security that you are able to feel, the more likely you are to rebel and actually try to fight back.
