Girlfriend of 3 years has never really focused on politics. She has a 7 year old (8 next week) that I care for as my own.
Anyways, I thank God she is open to what I share with her. We’ve come a long way. Recently she has growing concerns about the vaccine and if our daughter will me ‘’mandated’ to take it at some point, and also, if she will have to take it for work. So she reached out to their primary care doctor to discuss. To no surprise, he was all about the vaccine. Here was her response with NO help from anyone:
I appreciate your lengthy response. I appreciate you taking the time to response at all.
However, I do not agree. I feel there is great under reporting and lack of information available to the adverse side effects of a brand new vaccine. (You have to dig hard to find this information.) As well as providers, like yourself, standing behind a vaccine with less than adequate data to show long term effects. Why is that? Due to the lack of time the vaccine has been on the market and the time it’s been available to be studied. If you look at other vaccines, it has taken years to become fully knowledgeable about what the vaccine truly does.
Are you aware the full authorization of the Pfizer vaccine does not have to same ingredients as the EUA that’s currently on the market? And how can you be sure that you are receiving the fully cleared dose versus the EUA dose?
In addition, I’d be interested to know what specific study you are referencing when discussing the 60K individuals that were part of a trial group. The last study I read about a trial group, there were not enough control subjects to be studied because all subjects were administered the vaccine. So how would you be able to study subjects where they were all vaccinated? You’d have no data to support the unvaccinated.
I strongly disagree with your information on the unvaccinated creating a higher death toll. Maybe your region is different than mine. But there are many cases of the vaccinated being hospitalized, contracting covid and dying. In some cases/studies showing a vaccinated individual carrying a higher protein load, due to the vaccine and being a stronger viral spreader than an unvaccinated person.
Lastly, if you look at the trials on vaccines for children, their trials won’t be fully completed until 2023, 2024 and 2025. So for you to say a child would benefit from this vaccine would strongly make me question your judgment at all.
It’s clear we do not agree and that is fine. I respect your opinion. I just need you to know, offering your medical and scientific opinion is only worth as much evidence that you have to back up your claims. Which I don’t believe is possible since time haven’t allowed.
If you ever change your mind and you think it should be MY choice to decide if I want to be vaccinated or not, please let me know.
I’m happy to hear you are getting back together.
