Those pointed things are actually vessels under way. Anchored vessels are indicated by dots. Also, no ships wait for unloading a thousand miles away from shore.

I mean, this post makes no sense. That's how marinetraffic looks like 365 days a year. There's like quarter million vessels tracked there.
