Kickoffs that go out of bounds are typically placed at the 40. The kicking team kicks from their 35 and if the kick goes out of bounds the receiving team can either choose to take the ball where it went out of bounds or 25 yards from the spot of the kick.
“1st & 10 at the 40” - they’re a long way from the goal?
Wouldn't a 1st and 10 at the 40 happen if an opposing team tried an onside kick and failed? Im not real i to football, but this is what i thought.
