If you could only take one thing to prevent the flu or any upper respiratory tract illness, vitamin D would be it.
5,000 international units, which is 125 mcg(micrograms) a day is a safe and effective adult dosage.
If you could only add one other thing, it would be vitamin K2, to insure calcium is deposited where it belongs.
Every other supplement is fine and dandy, but if you are vitamin D deficient, i.e. blood level below 25 ng per ml, it would all be for naught.
And as HopefulSkeptic says: Talk to your doctor. Get your blood vitamin D level checked and try to get it around 50 ng per ml.
Vitamin D is UBER important, take at least 5,000 units daily starting now, ending never.
We never get flu vax, only got flu once, used therma flu from doc to get over it.
I believe most of the coof is flu, so the vitamin d,c, zinc, quercetin protocol would work against flu too
