I was diagnosed with mild lupus right around a year ago. Rheumatologist prescribed plaquenil (HCQ). My insurance denied it! I could have fought it, but I’m able to get through good Rx for about $8. When I went back a few months ago for a check up, Dr tried to convince me to get the jab. I played naïve and just said I didn’t know enough to make a decision one way out the other. She “tried” to make the case for it, almost as if it was something she had to do. She definitely didn’t sound confident or even that she believed what she was telling me, and couldn’t give a solid reason for why I should get it. Needless to say, I’m looking for a new rheumatologist!
