The Democrat will lecture you on how the term fishing "rod" is a microaggression referencing rape and beatings, how fishing is unsustainable, how you're destroying the environment, how the underprivileged don't have access to fishing rods like you do, how fishing is racist, sexist, and transphobic, and how we should all be vegan anyway. You'll gladly hand over your wallet to get rid of him.
