Does one need to be prior military to join? (Husband was Army, so we are eligible if so.) Do you recommend NF? Is it based? I want to get out of our current bank, but want to do some research first.
Thanks!

We used to use it years ago, but not anymore. I may check into them again and see if they're at least competitive with our current insurance. Thanks for the reminder!
Thanks again! I think, if the quote is correct, we will save a few bucks a month on our car insurance. It adds up!
USAA is a bank. You will get better interest rates with NFCU, being that it's a credit union. NFCU is great in that you can do virtually everything you want to do online. For those things you can't do online, you can do it over the phone. You don't need to be near a brick-and-mortar location, either. They have a wide network of ATMs that you can use, no fee.
Have done business for years with both USAA and NFCU. You can't go wrong with either one of them. They both have great customer service.
