My standard always worked so far. When doc says safe & approved, I say:

It was approved for emergency use only provided there are no other therapeutics available. Just because the sale of therapeutics was suppressed does not mean it doesnt exist.

As for its safety show me the published results of the clinical trials. Without that you cannot state it is safe.
