That sounds about right. My son was born in 1984 and my daughter in 85. We ended up trick or treating in the mall with my best friend and her kids. My friend and I sat and had coffee and let the kids run rampant. I will never forget how cold it was, bitter, sleet and snow. Sounds like I must be about your parents age. If you were trick or treating then you had to be a child. Haha.
My son/ the first child was born 5 days before my 24th birthday and my daughter/the second and last was born when I was 25. I am 61 years old now and from those 2 children I have 8 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren whom I still call my real grandchildren. I wouldn't take anything for any of them; that is why I am on here and fight with all my friends in the digital war of God's army. I want them to grow up in the same wonderful childhood that I had; so we need to change some things. God bless you.
As a child from a family of 8, I remember us playing Simon Says, Red rover, Red rover, Evie Ivy Over, The Dating Game, Hide and Seek, 1,2,3 Red Light. And then we'd play crowkay/ not sure I spelled that right, Hopscotch, jump rope and Chinese jump rope. Then we'd get our brothers and the neighbor kids because we had a huge field in the back of our houses and we'd play kick ball. Sometimes I'd play basketball with my brothers/ usually a game of 21 or horse, So we had a lot of fun. No video games, no Malls, no cell phones; just plain physical activity fun. That's what I'd like my grandchildren to experience.,
