Australia is a tyrannical country carefully disguised as almost a libertarian. When I came here from US 20 years ago, it felt refreshing. Very quickly I went form a wage slave to self employed and the quality of life improved drastically. But it was all a camouflage. It was dangerous kind of freedom because it kept us blinded and could easily be pulled away from us with a flick of a button.

Every freedom you enjoy is an illusion unless you can protect it with 2A.
