I thought Congress had to approve money for the wall, so where did this magically come from? Obama picked it off the money tree in the White House backyard?
It was their money. Money the Iranian government paid for military hardware that was never delivered after the Iranian revolution. It was always a major demand from them for any kind of negotiated settlement. It's legitimate to disagree with the nuclear deal, but it's dishonest to pretend that money was a gift or something from Obama.
That cash was actually money that we owed Iran but never paid. We gave that to them as show of good faith for them entering the JPCOA and releasing a couple of hostages.
