If you’re not familiar, I would do a tiny bit of research on them (there’s not a lot to learn, but there are a few things that make them a bit different from other stocks.
In my experience (this is not financial advise), many of them pop right before the merger is final, then have a drop right afterwards. Some grind back up. Others don’t.
Hmm- are we just in the rumor spike phase now? What would constitute an official announcement ? Mainstream media broadcast or something? And how long do you have to sell off after the spike?
If you’re interested in knowing when to sell and swing trading, I really recommend the YouTube channel Brady VPA. He is a swing trader that can show you some technical analysis and market signals that are good indicators for price action.
Nothing is foolproof, but it can show you when stocks are strong or weak.
Wow- it’s listed as TMTG? I need to find the SPAC section of thinkorswim !
Right now the acquisition company is $DWAC.

But they can be very lucrative.

Ah, okay. Does holding shares of the SPAC translate to shares of TMTG later on automatically? If so I think it will hold value right?
And dont mergers take18 months?
Yes, your broker will automatically convert your shares once the merger occurs.
You will also have the chance to sell your shares back for $10 before that happens (that’s why the floor is $10).
Some mergers take longer than others.
I can’t speak to the rest. Some SPACs grow to upwards of $50. Some merge in the teens.
I think there’s enough interest in Trump that give this one a lot of potential.
