Relative in hospital with covid pneumonia. Last day of remdesevir use tomorrow and then only dealing with inflammation. High flow O2 70% environment decreased to 40% environment. Has anyone dealt with this before? Please any advice is helpful. This seems like a good sign but would like to know about similar experiences thank you.

Being forceful with doctors and hospitals is not easy. I have had to be a stark raving lunatic on occasion. My son had multiple surgeries as a child. I did my research. I once called the head of Baylor Plastic Surgery on a weekend when my son was in the hospital recovering from surgery. He did the surgery but you NEVER saw him before or after surgery. He was gifted! Surgeon was at "fancy event". He had 5 doctors in my son's room within 5 minutes. I had tried all day to get Texas Children's Hospital to listen to me. They finally listened. I also once fired an idiot doctor in the hospital. They have other doctors.
Do whatever it takes. They do not have to agree with you. You do NOT have to be nice. You can even apologize later. But the patient and family is in charge.
