I've looked for a good explanation of the shortages, but really haven't found one satisfactory. Currently nurses are getting sign-on bonuses of $10k, $15k, or more. We are short 80k truck drivers. Fed Ex will be hiring tens of thousands during the Christmas season. National Guard is driving school buses or schools just cut out bus routes. McDs is paying big bucks and still can't get staff, as well as most other restaurants, etc. Can all of these staff shortages be explained by people who don't want to get the s#ot? If not, what else explains it?

Maybe a combination of too many government perks for staying home, too many mask/testing/shot requirements to work and maybe a large number of people dying of ‘natural causes’. Then of course there is a segment of the population that is tuned into MSM and is just plain too terrified of Covid to work.
Yeah have some coworkers that never come to office and prefer to stay gone remote working than come in every once in a while. They are vaxxed of course.
