I've looked for a good explanation of the shortages, but really haven't found one satisfactory. Currently nurses are getting sign-on bonuses of $10k, $15k, or more. We are short 80k truck drivers. Fed Ex will be hiring tens of thousands during the Christmas season. National Guard is driving school buses or schools just cut out bus routes. McDs is paying big bucks and still can't get staff, as well as most other restaurants, etc. Can all of these staff shortages be explained by people who don't want to get the s#ot? If not, what else explains it?

The money isn't worth the bullshit.
I am fixing to quit my well paying job at the end of the year and temporarily retire for a year or two until this storm passes us over. Many others are in the same boat. Those who have made wise financial decisions have the power to simply walk away from their job.
Honestly, do y'all want to go back to the "normal" we had before? I believe we will not be going back to what we had before the pandemic. The Post Awakened World is going to be a radical departure from what we considered normal a couple of years ago.
Yeah working low wage job with wearing mask all day and protocols sounds like awful, I am not surprised would quit dealing with that shit.
