I lived in San Diego and when the roads got solidly wet the traffic accident reports read like a Colorado mountain pass accident report in January. They all have wimpy tires that can't handle any road conditions well. Normally, San Diego gets drizzly rain and the downpours scare the sh*t right out of most drivers.
I used to as well. In areas that don't get a lot of rain, the oil and dirt build up on the roads. When it does rain, it creates a slick surface, much like ice. Good tires or not, if you drive like it's dry you'll slide around.
Can we help clean up those oily roads? Anyone got any Dawn? It's what they use to get the oil off birds.
