But Westinghouse had unfettered access to nuclear material, and Toshiba bought a pretty massive stake in Westinghouse, and Kazatomprom had a pretty massive stake in Toshiba, and Kazatomprom was in Kazakhstan which was under control of the Soviet Union. The deal of Toshiba buying a stake in Westinghouse was considered scandalous by some at the time, since it was a foreign entity buying into an American company that handled nuclear material, but the story never gained any traction. I wrote a whole fucking paper on it when I was ghost-writing for my Korean ex-girlfriend. I got an A+. It was the biggest paper for that class at like 40+ pages and I don't even have a copy of it. The Clintons were involved. I even found an interview where the president of Kazatomprom initially denied meeting with Bill Clinton until his interviewer pointed out their picture together on his fucking bookshelf nearby. When I submitted this paper some guys from Southern Nuclear came and visited my place of work. Yet I can't even get the story off the ground.
