Apologies, I don't know where I got the 47 from. Some articles say 40 weeks, the Federalist, which is trustworthy imo, says 42 weeks.

Also, 42 weeks is within the normal period of gestation.

The gestation period is how long a woman is pregnant. Most babies are born between 38 and 42 weeks of gestation.
