Probably gonna catch some flack for this buut:

Wasn't there a protest this morning for climate change that blocked a major road in NY? They were not winning ANY friends amongst those trying to get to work / school. How is this any different? I recognize this is a good way to get attention, but if the idea is to win hearts and minds, maybe we can find something that doesn't disrupt the day to day lives of regular people...?
