I always thought "prop" weapons were incapable of loading a live round. Much like the Airsoft look-alike guns do not fire live ammo. So, how did a real gun show up as a "prop"? Who bought the ammo and loaded same into the weapon?
I don't trust the NRA so I wouldn't recommend them. But I do think everyone on the set should at least take a Concealed Weapon course or Hunter's Safety course run by private industry or even County Sheriff training, if available.
All children should be taught the basic safety rules and be familiarized, so they know how to react if they come across firearms.
let's not let the entity which came up with the background check system in the first place be the arbiters of who gets firearms and who does not.

The ultimate responsibility is with the one whose finger is on the trigger.
Prop i found out is short for property.
So why theybuse real firearms is beyond me. There are plenty of ways to avoid this shit. Predictable is preventable.

Sure, bit I still wouldn't give them a real gun.
Ban guns from Hollywood movies. Guns don't kill actors, actors with guns kill actors.
LOL! Yes my husband was just saying hollywood actors are too stupid to be trusted with even a cap gun. I have to agree.
Hollywood couldn't handle a F------ cap gun!! Some people and industries are just born as idiots, remember, STUPID can't be fixed.
In Montreal I've only known "Gun wranglers" on set who work with the actors or background performers.
I always thought it was the Film Actor’s Guild?
Good point.
