yes sir any nation that looks to God for guidance will always prevail but any nation that looks for guidance from man will always fail. Trump also knows this. WWG1WGA!
Praying for Christ to enter your life is an amazing 1st step. My buddies mother "LIED" me into giving my life to Christ 45 years ago - she told my my life would be so much better <-- subjective statement because I loved getting drunk, loved fornicating, loved fist fights, loved using force of violence to humiliate anybody who pushed me. The first 10 years of my Christian life was torturous because I didn't count the cost and nobody told me if I didn't take up my cross and die to myself I was unworthy of Christ.
These "repentance" prayers are just words and will not change your life. You have to engage Christ via Written word in bible until you learn to hear the small quiet voice of the Holy Spirit. ONLY in relationship with Christ though the Holy Spirit will you life transform. how do you get the Holy Spirit, Two baptisms Water and fire (fire is asking Jesus to baptize you in his Holy spirit) <-- IF you pray these repentance prayers and do not do both baptisms you will only be using your will power to try to earn your way into heaven. through these baptisms God will change the desires of your heart. Remember this does NOT happen overnight your freewill and identity must always remain in tact.
the last 25 years of my life (since I learned to listen to the Holy Spirit have been amazing blessings. The Peace of Christ in my soul is the best drug I have ever taken.
The more I learn the less I know. Our Father in heaven is so far beyond man's ability to comprehend that at best we can learn some of His attributes. Jesus summed it up when he said God is LOVE. Love and Forgiveness are the only Goal. let God love you, Learn to accept God's Love and learn to love yourself. you will learn to extend Grace and Love to all around you from this perspective.
