I know not exactly on topic for the board, but I trust most pedes on here more than any doctors or medical people right now. So with that being said, my wife and I are about to being another pure blood into the world and i was wonder if any of the health experts on here can tell me if prenatals are a good idea and if so a good brand to look for. I literally have nearly zero trust for most companies pushing anyhting now days, because they all seemed to be owned by terrible companies.
Sorry again for off topic but happy to share the great news with you frens, and any help is greatly appreciated!!!
Lately I have been listening to some podcasts in Dutch. I've heard multiple women who gave birth naturally at home. They said that the whole process went instinctively, like knowing how to lie and when to push without a doctor telling you to. All of them said it felt empowering afterwards, like a primal instinct kicking in. Meaning they started their motherhood full of confidence, having delivered the baby on their own strength.
We give away too much responsibility to doctors and forget to let the process run it's natural cause. Do the delivery somewhere that's familiar and safe for ur wife. Be wary of doctors wanting to inject your baby and keeping its placenta for medicine production. Apparently it's bad to cut the umbilical cord before it's had the chance to give all the blood it's supposed to to the baby, it will turn white when it's empty.
I'm no expert, but this is what i've heard from women who gave birth outside of the medical system. I wish you luck and hope this helped you a little :)
Thank you very much! I am hoping that we are able to do it at home, but either way I will be watching things very closely. Thank you!
