5.56 does quite well out of a 7-inch barrel.
No, you've got it right. It's just that I consider the short barrel ARs as being for close up defense inside a 50-foot radius. Suitable for carrying in a car or for indoors defense. Loud as hell but effective.
For scouting and checking the perimeter and for neighborhood defense, the long barrel version is better.
It's a niche weapon for sure. A lot of people I know have both types in their collections.

Regarding Trump allowing the tranny to compete in the pageant. He didn't allow it at first and then she was going to sue (and probably win because it's Canada) and so he backed off and allowed it. That doesn't mean he's for it.
