The people with battery powered cars may think they won't have to be concerned about gas prices for their cars, but they may have to pay a premium to power up their batteries because it's my understanding all those battery charging stations are powered by diesel generators.

your understanding is more confusion of what you're seeing. what you think is a 'diesel generator' is actually a large power inverter. It flips the electricity from AC to DC.... it's the same concept of like how you have a power brick for a laptop computer.
