Sorry to grouch on your parade, but this is exactly why we get such lousy service everywhere nowadays. I think this attitude stinks. If you want a better job, go learn a skill. In the meantime, do your job with a molecule or two of work ethic. That's pride in yourself and has nothing to do with a bad employer.
You definitely have a point in that customer service has gone downhill. But sadly, so have customers. My college age son worked at ikea over the summer and some of the stories he had, and even what I’m sure we’ve all witnessed, about how badly some people treat those working retail. He always has a great attitude, but we would definitely have a good laugh at home over the things people would say or do. So many have forgotten the golden rule. How many more have never even heard of it?? Anyway, shared this video with my son. I’m sure he’ll get a good chuckle. 😂
Your son gets my point - doing a good job for your own pride in self despite awful bosses or customers, meanwhile work to put yourself in a better position. The kid in the video would not understand that at all. Want to bet which one of the two will be in a much better place five years from now? I'll give you a clue. LOL
