I live in Tennessee and I'm wanting to move up north because I prefer the kind of snowflakes that come from the clouds instead of New York or California. What are some cities that have southern tradition like Tennessee but also has white christmases like upstate New York if there are any?

Good luck to you. My mother moved our family from Alabama to Ohio almost 60 years ago and the people up north are still "just as cold as the winter snow". She probably would have been MUCH happier to be with the rest of her family had she resettled in Tennessee! There are no southern traditions or hospitality up here unless you bring them with you. You won't hear "yes sir" "no sir", "yes mam" or "no mam", but you can say "bless your heart" to your heart's content and no one will be the wiser :)
So true! Also, northerners always look like they are cold.
I'm the opposite, my ma's always calling me a polar bear because of my strong tolerance to the cold.
They dont know cold.
