One of the strangest Royal Interventions I can recall happened around 10 years ago.

A young girl( April Jones) was abducted ( body never found).

The place Machynlleth ( Mac-un-clef) The OLD capital of Wales ( now a tiny backwater town).

Prince Charles( The Prince Of Wales who doesn’t live there and visits for about 10 hours a year personally got involved to reassure the family.

Eventually the abductor was found living around 5 miles away. Male single ex military around 50. They concluded that he abducted the girl and burnt the body in his fire place.

This was just after Saville and I can never recall ANY Royal getting involved in any Murder/ Mystery/Abduction before or since.
