There are so many lessons to be learned, it’s a really good source of wisdom if you interpret it properly. A lot of it, I believe, is a collection of true old ‘moral of the story’ tales. I am religious myself, but I always think of Christianity as a philosophy (guidance to live by) as well a religion (a higher being to believe in).
