But you actually have to qualify for retirement, which means you have to be like 60 years old.

My eldest son is like 60 years old, although he's actually 40. Does that count?

Not sure of his agency. He should be fully vested at 3 years and be eligible for retirement benefits after 10 years. There is a formula for early retirement based on service and date of birth
