Perhaps this was mentioned at some point, but never really picked up on the misspelling of the title song... Promentory... the word is promontory. The only results that will show up for Promentory is the scene and music track from the movie Last of The Mohicans. Misspellings matter? Bizarre right?
This youtube clip of the score from TLOTM that Q linked to was posted 9 years ago.

Can't say it is relevant one way or the other... but like you I pay attention to misspellings as a knee jerk reaction now. : )
What if the song list/order is the soundtrack for this movie? If we're only at track 7 of 12 with Promentory... ugh... ready for this show to end. Granted, interesting that the order went from Summer to Promentory, to GOT which brings up the theme of "winter is coming." Interesting notes on the composition of the main GOT theme, it was based on an "Afghan Rubab melody" with the cello featured for its "darker sound" to reflect the "backstabbing and conspiracy" of the show (South Park still had the best parody...Anthony Weiner Weiner? π€)
I'm going to take a closer look at the themes for all of these songs. They seem to have been chosen with a purpose in mind.
Shoot, I have to look at the list again. From my phone, the "home" for the channel only showed 12 uploaded videos, which I had sorted (by default) as oldest uploaded to newest. Interesting video on the only favorites list.
The music stuff really hits home with me. Aside from my educational background,s in history and government, which has always beena passion of mine, music, particularly movie soundtracks, is about as equally a passion. The only thing that makes a movie great, besides great actors, is even GREATER music. Scores make the movie. Williams. Zimmer. Horner. Shore. Morricone. Edelman. Goldsmith. Elfman. The Bernsteins. The Newmans. So many incredible scores. Absolute brilliance.
Have probably heard Promentory hundreds of times. Everyone knows the tune, even if they haven't seen the movie. Just like Star Wars. Music is powerful, even without lyrics, especially without lyrics. The raw emotions. All this time, never catching the misspelling. How the hell does a main theme from an Oscar nominated soundtrack, get misspelled and nobody says anything? Just lets it happen. Again, BIZARRE.
How about Walter Carlos: Tron, the Shining, A Clockwork Orange
BTW Star Wars theme DOES have lyrics: https://youtu.be/ljiVRV5B5i8?t=350

Although, two tracks from the saga actually do have "lyrics"... Duel of the Fates and Battle of the Heroes π
Possibly. I mean, the song title has always been Promentory. Was misspelled from the beginning. My guess is that when the video editor added the text overlay, spell check kicked in. I'm more curious as to why Trevor Jones / Randy Edelman misspelled it from the beginning
Yes, apparently also a Promentory Drive in WA. Were these two streets merely innocent misspellings? Possible mandella effect with the spellings kind of like cantalope and cantaloupe?
Agreed. Likely just genuine misspellings, like a bunch of towns in Nebraska! π
Promontory Point was also where East met West (transcontinental railroad). Always loved the movie version of Wild Wild West with Will Smith... "Oooo taw, ooo taw, ver is dis oooo taw anyvhay?" π
