Yes and they will likely be centrally controlled by the socialists. They already do this in my city.

My former town wanted to put radio-controlled gadgets on heat pumps so that they could be turned off in the afternoon when electricity demand was too much. Our handy-dandy ac guy wired it wrong so it never cut ours off. Genius!
