Sounds like what I heard.

When I saw the one in Washington, I was with my stepbrother and his best friend goldpanning in the river His friend was facing away from us sifting through his pan and I was squatted down sifting through mine. My brother who was a prankster said “Julie, look up. Bigfoot is across the river looking right at you.” Thinking he was just pranking me, I said “yeah yeah whatever” and didn’t look up at first. He said, with urgency in his voice, “No, I’m serious, look up!” I looked up then and slowly rose to my feet and froze. That’s when I saw it across the river. He still swears he wasn’t pranking me and in my gut I know it wasn’t either. I know what I saw and we were wayyyy up off old logging roads and a long trail. His friend still says he didn’t see anything, just heard us talking about it.
