I know this would unite many more people to address a common issue. I could also see it even leading to teachers who believe children should not be vaccinated by force resigning.

I'm very involved in our local schools in NY.
Before a vaccine mandate (just masking/CRT), our district saw a close to 5% drop in attendance (towards home/private schooling). With a vaccine mandate, that drop may be another 5-10%.
Our school district is already projected to have over 10 million dollar budget shortfalls next year, even with all of the governor's cash and Biden's bullshit stimulus. State law prevents the district from raising taxes more than 2%. Inflation means everything is going to cost more. Heating, a large cost, is going to go up way more than 6%. Busing is probably already costing more than 20% more.
When the district sees a 10% drop in state aid from all of the parents deciding to take their children out of the system, you're looking at a 15-20% budget shortfall. For just next year. Biden's stimulus is on a cliff. The year after that, that money is gone. Now you're looking at a 30% budget shorfall.
I think our public schools might already be dead.
