The unreleased FBI footage shows they were likely stalking Kyle all night long and attacked him in coordination. The guy who fired the gun into the air while Kyle was being charged must have done that on purpose to elicit this very result, after having stalked the kid the entire night. That's what it looks like to me at least. They did the same thing in Charlottesville.
