It's a small block Ford V8. It's not a bad little engine.It's got a lot of potential to be
modified for high performance. Even standard,it's a great little engine. There are
probably 100s of thousands in US auto dismantlers yards.
A great car to get with a 289 would be a 1965 Mustang, also other Fords of that
time. The Mustangs may be getting dear now,but it's still possible to find a bargain
out there. When you score big on the share market you might find a good one.
