I recall reading a while back some unsavory things about Zoom, and I don't care to use it. It seems that every-freaking-body is using it now, though. This is all from a year ago or so, but it seems to have fallen off the radar.
First, from the USG ~

Yet our own government uses Zoom for congressional meetings and whatever else.
Next, we have a lovely piece about the people working there ~

Thanks. I'm not filled with confidence that a Zoom isn't a Zoom through and through, though, even with the protocols reportedly in place by "the gov."
Who in there are we trusting, anyway?
Even if the USG uses a "safe and private" version, the entire rest of the country is using the one subject to all the CCP influence and spying.
It's good to know there might be privacy in government dealings.
I wouldn’t trust it. Considering the breaches in INFOSEC the USG has had over the last 10 yrs, I’d say very little is secure. Isolated networks like SIPR, NIPR, JWICS, NSANet etc are secure but anything cloud based or public facing I assume is comp’d.
