They're in nominal power. Technically they are "in power" but in a representative government power comes from the people invested into the same system. So land owners, business owners, even their workers in some cases such as here in America. Their families as well.
Trump, technically speaking has more political power in America than career politicians and multinationals. He has skin in the game. He's a real estate mogul. Therefor he's one of the land owners that benefits from America being successful. Trump is actually able to make more meaningful alliances with the people who actually benefit from Americas success. Think about Goya, or Ford or even those washing machine people he visited that one time for example. Those companies have most of their skin in the American economy. They will be more likely to support America First policies.
This reminds me of when I was in school. During tests people would cheat off me. This thoroughly pissed me off because I did all the work and these untermensch were not worthy of my hard work and brains. What I did in response was to ask the teacher for an extra copy of the test. Because the extra copy of the test had no answers on it they were usually cool with it. What I would then do is fill out a whole bunch of false answers on one copy, put it over my actual copy with the right answers and then hand in the right copy. This is kind of what is happening to the Dems and the DS. They didn't actually do the homework. On the test they're basically trying to copy the wrong answers.
You can cheat numbers on paper but you can't cheat biomass. On paper the DS looks good but because they cheated they don't actually have the popular support. Their "grass roots support" are actually FBI and the intelligence apparatus co-opted during the Obama administration. The fact is we have more people out in the streets consistently. When you break down a representative government to its basic functional piece it is people over the bureaucracy.
