PSALM 127 A song of ascents. Of Solomon.
Theme: Life without God is senseless. All of life's work--building a home, establishing a career, and raising a family--must have God as the foundation.

1 Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. 2 In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves. 3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.
Study Notes:
127:1 Families establish homes and watchmen guard cities, but both these activities are futile unless God is with them. A family without God can never experience the spiritual bond God brings to relationships. A city without God will crumble from evil and corruption on the inside. Don't make the mistake of leaving God out of your life--if you do, all of your accomplishments will be futile. Make God your highest priority and let him do the building.
127:2 God is not against human effort. Hard work honors God (Proverbs 31:10-29). But working to the exclusion of rest or to the neglect of family may be a cover-up for an inability to trust God to provide for our needs. We all need adequate rest and times of spiritual refreshment. On the other hand, this verse is not an excuse to be lazy (Proverbs 18:9). Be careful to maintain a balance: work while trusting God, and also rest while trusting him.
127:3-5 Too often children are seen as liabilities rather than as assets. But the Bible calls children "a heritage from the LORD," a reward. We can learn valuable lessons from their inquisitive minds and trusting spirits. Those who view children as a distraction or nuisance should instead see them as an opportunity to shape the future. We dare not treat children as an inconvenience when God values them so highly.
Many of us are starting new work or a new phase of activity in our lives--some forced into the change. This morning I am praying for all of us in that condition that we take God with us everywhere we go and in all we do. We need his guidance and protection, and he is the true provider. Let our work and our lives be glorifying God as he intends for us.
Almighty Source of Good, Lord God, thank you for your presence in our lives. Let us recognize and glorify you. As we care for and protect the children that you value, and others and ourselves, keep us on the firm foundation of your love. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Have a blessed day.
There is no such thing "life without GOD" The Christ light IS whether you understand it or not. You either flow with it or flow against it. Reading a "spell" from a book does not make you closer to GOD. You are "the temple" and "heaven is within you". "Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven". You will not find it in a book of "spells". (Especially one written by paid lackeys, compiled and then approved by "Summus Pontifex" Constantine the Great) Just my 'word for the day".
Although I sense your comment is meant as a rebuke, I find that the Bible in combination with prayer and conversation with God brings me closer to TRUTH, not further away.
I first learned of the light of God within us from reading John 14 in the Bible. It was+is my research about the TRUTH of the Bible that keeps me reading it. I constantly read it understanding that repetition could lead to what seems to be doing "it" by rote --unless one is truly thinking about what it says and why.
Your caution to me is noted. I agree that God is the Creator+Sustainer of Life, that Jesus is the Way, the TRUTH, and the Life.
Never a "rebuke" as ALL is GOD/LOVE. Simply cautioning the implied message of your title that God is found only in reading a book of "spells" (spelling- the use of words in creating intention/manifestation) that has been compiled and given to us to repetitively ponder, by the same earthly representatives who have always been attempting to control and torture and hold HUmans (Light Beings) as slaves. The Final chapter of the Great Awakening will be difficult for everyone, related to false religions and god (Includes the religion of Christianity). "All of what we have been told is a LIE" Means ALL.
