"Most of the time we fail to understand what true love is really all about. True love is one-hundred percent commitment, it's messy, far more passionate and meaner than evil. Was it mean for God to send Jesus His only Begotten Son to the cross? Was it mean for the Roman soldiers to beat Him to a bloody pulp and then drive huge nails into Him so that He would stay hanging on that cross as blood poured out of His wounds? Was that mean? You bet it was mean! It was meaner than the evil Jesus fought against because that "meanness" of God bought our very freedom from the greatest tyranny ever to plague mankind...the slavery of sin punishable by eternal imprisonment apart from the eternal love of God!

I'm so thankful God is meaner than evil!
